About Us

The British Chinese Society of Health Informatics is the voluntary association for British Chinese professionals working with Health and Social Care Informatics in the United Kingdom and internationally. We promote professional ethics, industry good practices, research findings, international innovation and collaboration opportunities in the health and social care informatics domain. With our strong China links, we facilitate Sino-UK conferences, visiting trips and business competition in support of educational, governmental and commercial opportunities between the UK and China. Our fundamental role is to support Chinese British health and social care informatics professionals working with NHS, academia and industry; help them access news and events, knowledge and information and other well-organised resource to enable them to progress their career, enlarge their network and adopt continuous professional improvement. We also value the entrepreneurship in our members so that we signpost information in the areas of government funding, industry investment and market opportunities, especially in the emerging market like China. As a sub-group of the whole professional informatics community, we aim to collaborate closely with other established organisations like BCS and UKCHIP.
